I was a teaching assistant for Prof. John Etchemendy’s freshman seminar on Philosophy of AI. It has been fascinating to see the conversations in this class evolve over the past few years. Formative/ favorite texts include “Conscious Exotica” by Murray Shanahan and “Artificial Intelligence and Consciousness” by Drew McDermott.
